Sharing Light and Space

A temporary environmental installation on the Santa Monica Shoreline. Nov. 28th 2024

Begining at 2:00pm with a 0’.0” sea level

ending at 6:00pm with a 3’.7” sea level

Inspired by Neolithic structures like Stonehenge, the installation features a series of seven simple steel sculptures that act as windows or portals onto the horizon. These frames not only alter our perception of the sunset but also invite us to contemplate our own place within the landscape and the passage of time.

With the fixed forms in the rising tide, this installation encourages viewers to engage with the art and the natural world, creating a unique and shared experience. By reframing the familiar, Mueller invites us to see the beauty of the everyday with fresh eyes and a renewed sense of wonder.
